There are some fixable interferences with boards of other designers:

As you may know there a various expansions available for A1200 esspecially when mounted into a tower. If people report trouble to us, we'll try to fix this trouble as soon as possible. Up to know there are three known boards from other companies/designers which interference or interferenced with Melody 1200 and even Twister1200. Up to now we were able to fix any trouble or let it fix via Gruner Bürotechnik for low cost. Any job is charged with about 10,- DM as far as we know.

We don't offer services for direct competition, though! For sure we know this kind of help might even be required f.e. for HyperC*M (without Melody 1200) or Prelude 1200. Ask for service at their manufacturers and designers for first, please.

B-Vision done by Phase-5 covers the area of the clockport!?

That's right. It's very recommended to use a B-Vision as it's the first time for A1200 to get a GFX board not only running Zorro-II speeds. You'll have to order a small adaptor available at Gruner Bürotechnik for 10 ,-DM plus shipping or tell them to deliver to your local dealer with next order of boards. You might even do it yourself. Simply take the kind of connectors (2mm type, not 2.54 mm!!!) used at Melody 1200 or Twister 1200 and mount it with a distance to the mainboard.
PLEASE talk to sales@katodev.de for first, it's up to them, not us!!!

Ultra-ATA interface (various names) covers area of clockport!?

Maybe that's still true for old packages. We talked to the distribution of the board regarding a simple fix in Nov. '98. They told ous they'll add IC sockets with the ATA board to give enough space for Melody 1200 or Twister 1200 to live fine in the same machine. If there are no sockets at your package simply ask at a lokal electronics dealer as they're really cheap and easy to get. You might even order sockets at Gruner.

HyperC*M-3 locks whole clockport address area!?

For series boards that's true, but there are allready some HyperC*M3's running together with Melody 1200 without trouble. This is a special unique feature of Melody's programmable chipset design and therefore not true for Twister 1200. The fix can't be done by user him/herselfes. If you like to run a HyperC*M3 you'll have to talk to Gruner Bürotechnik to do the fix. Depending on time available you'll be loaded with a low gift for the fix. Usually the charge should be 10,- DM. If you like to save the money for shipping you'll have to send out your board in advance and get it back with your Melody 1200.

If user can't do it him/herselfes it's even possible to let it done by Gruner Bürotechnik. Depending on time available you'll be loaded with a low gift for the fix. Usually the charge should be 10,- DM. If you like to save the money for shipping you'll have to send out your board in advance and get it back with your Melody 1200.
